Our Guarantee

We guarantee that within 30 days of receiving all your books and records, we will send you a set of draft accounts. Within 5 days of issuing the draft accounts, we shall telephone and arrange to meet with you to discuss any points arising so that the accounts can be finalised. If we fail to issue draft accounts within 30 days, no fee will be raised for the accounts production. We will however, complete all our agreed work.

Inland Revenue & Customs & Excise Investigations - Fee Protection Insurance

We are fully aware how time consuming any investigation into your affairs by the Government Agencies can be. Not only is there the unpleasantness of such an investigation, but also the cost of your time and that of your professional adviser in dealing with the matter.

We appreciated this a few years ago and took out an insurance policy to cover the costs of such investigations. This policy is available to all clients of our Practice. Once notification of an investigation is received, we prepare and submit the claim form to the Insurers and they then agree to, subject to all time limits having been adhered to, meet all our costs subject to an excess of the first £ 180 of time spent. This means we can work on your behalf without you having to worry about costs. We can give you the best possible service at no cost to yourself.

Fully qualified staff

We are a small Practice which is run by myself, a Chartered and Chartered Certified Accountant. I am ably supported by Frances Small, another Chartered Accountant and by Michael Mountain, an ex-Inland Revenue employee. This means that at all times your affairs are being handled by highly qualified and experienced staff.

Communications

In today’s world, we can be contacted by telephone, fax, e-mail and mobile phones. Long gone are the days of Accountants only working 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If you contact us and we are unable to take the call, for instance being in a meeting with another client, it is our intention to always respond within 24 hours.

Tax compliance and planning

The majority of our work is preparing your Accounts and Tax Returns for filing with the Inland Revenue. This is standard tax compliance work. Having completed your first set of accounts, we shall investigate any tax saving ideas relevant to you. This is tax planning and is an area where we try to be as proactive as possible. We believe it is better to have more money in your hands than in the hands of the Government.
